We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Text you submit — the frustration text you type is sent to our API to generate a meme. We do not store this text after your request is processed.
  • Usage data — our hosting provider (Vercel) collects standard server logs including IP addresses and request metadata for security and performance purposes. These are retained per Vercel's own privacy policy.

We do not use cookies, analytics trackers, or advertising pixels. We do not create user profiles or store your memes.

3. Third-Party Services

To generate your meme, your submitted text is processed by the following third parties:

Your text is transmitted to these services solely to fulfil your meme request and is subject to their respective privacy policies.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your submitted text is used solely to generate the meme you requested. We do not use it for training AI models, profiling, marketing, or any other purpose.

5. Data Retention

Your frustration text is not stored by us after your meme is generated and returned to you. Server logs retained by Vercel are subject to their data retention policies.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are based in the European Union, you have the following rights under GDPR:

  • Right to access the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Right to restrict or object to processing
  • Right to data portability

7. Children's Privacy

Rage Meme is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

When user accounts and subscriptions are introduced, this policy will be updated to reflect the additional data collected (e.g., email address, payment metadata). We will notify users of material changes before they take effect.
